Definitions
The terms “we,” “us,” “our” and “JRUKA” refer to the Jikiden Reiki UK Association, its committee team, or those performing a task on behalf of the Jikiden Reiki UK Association.
The term the “Site” refers to www.jikidenreikiuk.com. The terms “user,” “you,”, “your” and “member” refer to site visitors, members and any other users of the site. The term “Service” refers to “the membership”, “events”, “other services”, or “products” we may provide.
The service
The Service is a paid for membership service. Features of membership can be found on our website www.jikidenreikiuk.com We may also offer additional events, services, products, or information from ourselves, or provide you with details of additional events, services, products or information from selected third party organisations that are similar and supportive to the main membership service we provide, that we feel might be of interest to you. We reserve the right to amend the service offering at any time.
Age Restriction
Users of any services from our site must be 18 years old, to be able to enter into a contract.
Personal Information and Privacy
In order to use the Service, you will be required to provide information about yourself including your name, email address, and other personal information to register and create a membership account. You agree that any registration information you give to us will always be accurate, correct, and up to date. You agree not impersonate someone else or provide account information or an email address other than your own. Your account must not be used for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in the UK or the jurisdiction of the area you are working in if abroad. Registration and other information provided by you is subject to our Privacy Policy and shall only be used in accordance with it. Consent
Part of the service we provide may include activities such as group webinars, online training, or in person group events. These activities may be recorded as part of our service in providing content for our membership or for marketing purposes. By deciding to become a member you consent to recordings being made of group calls or webinars provided as part of the Service, or photographs at group events. You consent to your name, words, voice, and likeness being recorded within such events for us to deliver the service or use for marketing purposes. Methods exist within webinar settings to limit video, audio and information displayed for members who this is a concern for. In addition, we will make reasonable efforts to make members aware when we might for example use a group photo for marketing purposes in advance.
Membership Requirements
Membership requires agreement to abide by our Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy and these Terms. The JRUKA committee reserve the right to delay or decline membership or renewal, if the requirements or the code of conduct or membership have not been met.

Pricing
We reserve the right to amend membership pricing at any time however any changes in pricing would only apply at the date of your next membership renewal, when you will be invited to continue your membership with the updated pricing, this will then be your choice if you wish to continue your membership.
Payment Terms
Payments made to JRUKA for membership are non- refundable, non- transferable and cannot be place on hold or paused for any reason. Your membership runs from the date of payment for a period of 12 consecutive months, your date of purchase is your renewal date 12 months later. To keep membership active renewal payments must be made prior to the renewal date to ensure the membership would not lapse. Payments are made via our secure third-party digital payment provider. We will email you to confirm your membership subscription or the placement of any order you place for goods or services. If for any reason you do not receive confirmation, it is your responsibility to inform us as soon as possible, so let us know and we will aim to resolve any issue as quick as possible.
Right to cancel
You have a legal right as a consumer to change your mind and cancel the contract you made with JRUKA for the service you ordered via our website. You have a 14-day cooling off period, which starts from the day after you joined (submitted your joining application and made the joining payment for membership).
Should you wish to exercise this right you must email JRUKA at info@jikidenreikiuk.com with your request. We will process your request and refund you your membership within 14 days from receiving your email request.
Membership Renewal
As a member membership is due to renew, they will receive an invite to renew their membership for another 12 months. It is then the members choice if they wish to do so. Details of renewal will be sent to the member at the time of renewal.
Termination of Membership- By Member
The member can cancel their membership at any time. If this is done after the 14-day cooling off period no payment would be refunded to the member.
Termination of Membership- By Jikiden Reiki UK Association
The JRUKA committee reserve the right to cancel a membership at any time if the requirements of the code of conduct are not being adhered to, or the member is acting in a way that is damaging to the reputation of the Jikiden Reiki UK Association, or Jikiden Reiki. In such an event the member would be contacted by the JRUKA committee to aim to resolve any concerns. If any concerns are unable to be resolved any membership payment would be forfeited by the member.
Intellectual Property Rights
The Site and Service contain intellectual property owned by us, including trademarks, copyrights, proprietary information, and other intellectual property. Our copyrighted and original materials are provided to you as part of the Service for your individual use only and a single-user license. All intellectual property, including JRUKA copyrighted materials shall remain the sole property of the JRUKA. No license to sell or distribute our materials is granted or implied.
Members may not modify, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale of, create works from, distribute, display, reproduce or perform, or in any way exploit in any format whatsoever any of the site or service content or intellectual property, in whole or in part, without our prior written consent. This includes but is not limited to sharing material with others, posting excerpts of material on any social media, blogging about the material, or in any other way that would reasonably appear to share the site or service’s information with a non-member.
Amendments
We reserve the right to update any portion of our Site and Service, including these Terms and Conditions, at any time. We will post the most recent versions to the Site and list the effective dates on the pages of our Terms and Conditions. Any use of the Site or Service by you after being notified means you accept these amendments.
Third Party Services and Links
The Site and the Service may contain links to third party websites and resources. You acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible or liable for the availability, accuracy, content, or policies of third-party websites or resources. Links to such websites or resources do not imply any endorsement by or affiliation with the JRUKA. You acknowledge sole responsibility for and assume all risk arising from your use of any such websites or resources. The optional JRUKA public directory uses a third party resource, as such we have no control over that resource, nor do we have any control over the information you place in the public domain through that third party resource. By using this part of the Service, you acknowledge and agree that JRUKA is not responsible or liable for any part of that resource, or the information you place in the public domain.
Service Disruption
If there happens to be a disruption in service, please contact us at info@jikidenreikiuk.com as soon as possible and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the problem. We will make every effort to aim to resolve any issues within 14 days. If we are unable to deliver the service due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we shall inform the user as soon as reasonably possible. We will not be liable to the user or be deemed to be in breach of the Contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of our obligations in relation to the Service, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond our reasonable control including without limitation lock-outs, strikes, or other industrial action by third parties, riots, civil commotion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, invasion, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war, explosion, fire, flood, storm, subsidence, epidemic, earthquake, or other natural disaster, or failure of private or public telecommunications networks.
Warranties and Liability
JRUKA warrants to the user that the Service will be provided using reasonable care and skill. We shall have no liability to the Client for any loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims for compensation arising from any instructions supplied by the user which are incomplete, incorrect, inaccurate, illegible or arising from their late arrival or non-arrival, or any other fault of the user. Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by the JRUKA’s negligence, or as expressly provided in these Terms, the JRUKA shall not be liable to the user by reason of any representation (unless fraudulent), or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the Contract, for any loss of profit or any indirect, special or consequential loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims which arise out of or in connection with the provision of the Service, and the entire liability of the JRUKA under or in connection with the Contract shall not exceed the amount of the JRUKA charges for the provision of the Service. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the JRUKA pertaining to the Site and Service and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements, representations, and understandings between us. No waiver of any of the provisions of this Agreement by the JRUKA shall be deemed, or shall constitute, a waiver of any other provision, whether or not similar, nor shall any waiver constitute a continuing waiver. No waiver shall be binding unless executed in writing by the JRUKA.
Severability
If any term, provision, covenant, or condition of this Agreement is held by an arbitrator or court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, the rest of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect and shall in no way be affected, impaired, or invalidated.
Notices
All notices, requests, demands, and other communications under this Agreement shall be in writing and properly addressed as follows: Jikiden Reiki UK Association info@jikidenreikiuk.com
General
English law governs these Terms and contract between you and us. English courts will have jurisdiction on any dispute that may arise out of this Terms or contract between you and us. Nothing in these Terms will affect these legal rights.
